We have been staying pretty busy here at the CSC. After the Awakening, we held our annual Halloween party. A lot of the students got all costumed out, and some even won prizes for their costumes!!!
A couple of weeks later, we made quite a showing at Umbarger's Sausage Festival. We had over 20 students come out to help at the festival that Sunday... it was even said that they had TOO MUCH help! But I have a feeling that we made Fr. Daniel pretty proud!
The month of November seemed like a short one with Thanksgiving thrown in there, but I know that the students were studying like crazy with the upcoming finals around the corner. In the midst of all of the studying though, they made time for things such as our All Souls Day celebration, Thorn Bush and Rose Garden, and another round of Battle of the Sexes.
The month of December brought on our annual Christmas Party. It's a pretty dressy occasion, and the students didn't disappoint!! We didn't know that some of them could clean up so well! During the party, we had a White Elephant gift exchange. All of the students brought a fun, random, and maybe even a little weird gift to put in the exchange. The party had delicious food provided by Donna Kemp, and it turned out to be one of the best parties we've thrown yet!!
The Sunday before finals began, we held our Midnight Pancakes as a way for the students to take a break from their hard studying for a little breakfast. The SLT did a great job in setting the night up, and were great hosts.
Now that the semester is officially over, the CSC is pretty quiet without the students around. Although we all miss them, Fr. Daniel, Betty, and I are gearing up for next semester, and we can't wait to have them all back to start helping us prepare for our upcoming Auction!!!
